COLUMBUS, OH – September 9, 2026 – Jon Lindahl, Founder and CEO of Scioto Title, has been awarded the National Title Professional (NTP) designation by the American Land Title Association (ALTA), placing him among an elite group of designees recognized nationally for their knowledge, experience and dedication to the land title industry.
The designation was conferred by the National Title Professional Council of ALTA effective September 1, 2026. Ellen C. Albrecht, NTP, Chair of the NTP Council, notified Lindahl of the honor, writing that the Association is proud of his accomplishment and encouraged him to promote it throughout the industry.
The NTP designation is the highest individual recognition ALTA offers to land title professionals nationwide. According to ALTA, earning the NTP designation sets a professional apart as knowledgeable and experienced, enhances credibility with clients and peers and demonstrates a commitment to excellence while strengthening a professional's brand and career opportunities.
To qualify for the NTP designation, applicants must meet a rigorous set of eligibility requirements, including a minimum of five years of industry experience, ALTA membership, state land title association membership and any applicable state certification, designation or license. Candidates must also belong to ALTA's Title Action Network and complete the NTP education prerequisites.
Lindahl's NTP designation builds on his recent recognition as an Ohio Land Title Professional (OLTP) by the Ohio Land Title Association, continuing a pattern of sustained leadership and professional development within both the state and national title communities. Lindahl continues to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Land Title Association.
Jon Lindahl, NTP, OLTP, expressed appreciation for the recognition and reaffirmed his commitment to the standards the designation represents, along with his ongoing dedication to advancing professionalism across the title industry.
The National Title Professional designation is awarded by the American Land Title Association to individuals who meet established requirements demonstrating extensive knowledge, experience and involvement in the land title industry at a national level. Designees are recognized in ALTA publications and the NTP directory, receive special recognition at ALTA events and select state land title association meetings and are permitted to use the NTP designation and logo on business cards, email signatures, websites and other professional materials in accordance with ALTA's Rules of Use. The designation must be renewed every three years by earning a minimum of thirty renewal points, ten of which must come through direct ALTA involvement.
